What makes the Herts Ability driving centre different?
All of our Approved Driving Instructors are highly trained in many medical conditions and how they can affect your ability to drive. They have experience and knowledge of the tools available for individuals wishing to drive and have the support of a team of Occupational Therapists who can be on hand to help. Once you reach the desired standard to drive independently, Herts Ability can guide you through the driving test and advise on what might be required for the future.
Returning to Driving
Following injury or illness, some experienced drivers have difficulty returning to driving the way they always have done. Some people see their injury or illness as a barrier to driving and give up but, it doesn’t always have to be that way.
Herts Ability have a team of highly trained Approved Driving Instructors and Occupational Therapists that can help you return to driving.
Using a fleet of modern, specially adapted dual controlled cars, our Approved Driving Instructors can guide you through every step of regaining your independence and getting you back to driving. Once you’ve reached that safe standard of driving, the Herts Ability staff will then guide you through the process of having your own car adapted and notifying DVLA.
Please note that all staff have valid DBS checks in place.
