It’s time for a new “Meet the Team” and today, we’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to the Herts Ability family, Ayo, our fantastic Occupational Therapist. Let’s give her a big warm welcome!
Meet Ayo: Our Occupational Therapist Extraordinaire
Hi everyone! My name is Ayo, and I’m the latest Occupational Therapist to join the Herts Ability team. I recently completed my Occupational Therapy BSc at the University of East Anglia, which just so happens to be the top university for Occupational Therapy in the UK!
I’m excited to take this next step in my career with such a specialist service, and I’m beyond thrilled to be working with such an incredible team.
A Little About Me
When I’m not working, you can usually find me on a tennis court – I’ve been playing since I was 3 years old! I also have a huge passion for travelling and love exploring new cultures and destinations! Some of my favorite travel spots so far have been Morocco, Paris, and Turkey.
Why Herts Ability?
One of the things I’m most excited about is how the Herts Ability team makes such a huge difference in clients’ driving experiences.
The service is structured in a way that’s both collaborative and specialised, offering a tailored approach to help people drive safely and maintain their independence for as long as possible.
As part of my role, I’ll be working closely with Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs) to assess a client’s driving abilities, and when necessary, recommending adaptations to ensure they can continue driving confidently and safely.
My Experience
To date, I’ve had experience in a range of settings, including acute stroke and neurology, mental health with autism and learning disabilities, community paediatrics, elderly mental health, and more. I’m excited to add Herts Ability to my skill set and to be a part of this incredible journey!
