Six Successful Years & Counting for our Occupational Therapist Sarah!

A very happy work anniversary to our Occupational Therapist, Sarah, who is celebrating six successful years at Herts Ability!

Our CEO Sean Lawrence has these special words to mark the occasion:

“Congrats on your six years with Herts Ability, Sarah! Thanks for all you do for the charity and our clients – it means the world to us!”

Thanks for all your excellent work and here’s to many more anniversaries to come!

Read on for how Sarah started her Herts Ability career, plus how she can help you on the road to independence in the months to come…

“I had known about Herts Ability and the services they offer since 2002 – whilst working as a Rehabilitation Assistant for the Neurological Rehabilitation Service, but never really became involved with the Driving Centre until 2015 when I started referring some of the neurological patients I was seeing for driving assessments.

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2008.

I also gained experience by completing blue badge assessments, chair assessments and home adaptations in Bedfordshire and Essex for different companies and charities as an Independent Occupational Therapist.

More recently I worked once more with the Neurological Rehabilitation Service advising and referring those on my caseload to have a driving review and to inform the DVLA of changes in their medical conditions.

Since joining Herts Ability I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the team; working to Driving Mobility standards.

I look forward to meeting some of you at different courses and events in the near future and thank you for making me feel welcome to those of you whom I have already met and worked with!”
