Driving with Cerebral Palsy: Everything you need to know – in one handy guide!

Here’s how Herts Ability can help you gain independence behind the wheel for anyone with Cerebral Palsy!

Growing up with Cerebral Palsy can have many challenges and come along with many questions. One of these questions is “Will I be able to drive”?

The answer to this question is, come along to one of the Herts Ability assessment centres and let us support you in finding a way!

Our assessment process, with an Occupational Therapist and specialist Approved Driving Instructor will try to identify a way for you to control a car.

The Herts Ability team will work with you every step of the way, looking at your physical ability and the way you learn.

Sometimes, it takes more than one assessment.

Pictured is our recent client Aimee, on her third assessment. Third time’s a charm as a more Hi-Tech solution was found for her. Just look at that smile when Aimee found a way that suited her!

If you use mobility aids, our expert teams will help you find a way of safely storing them in a car. The teams will even look at how you get in and out, making sure you’re safe, now and in the future.

All you need to do is get in touch! Herts Ability could be your key to independence!
