Road Safety Week runs from 17th-23rd November 2024 and is the UK’s biggest road safety event. Here’s how you can help raise awareness during this important week!
Every year, thousands of schools, organisations and communities get involved to shout out for our right to make safe and healthy journeys every day.
Take part in Road Safety Week 2024 and join the national conversation!
Every life on our roads matters and every death and injury is preventable.
We all drive too fast sometimes…
“I didn’t notice I was going so fast!”
“Everyone else is doing it so why can’t I?”
“A few miles an hour won’t make much difference will it?”
But every time we drive faster than the speed limit, or too fast for the road conditions, we increase the risk of a crash – and we increase the chance that someone we love will be killed or hurt on a road.
Whoever you are, however you travel, We need to talk about SPEED.
Here’s three things to remember:
Think 💡
About how we can all use roads safely to protect ourselves and other road users
Understand 🤔
How safe roads can enable everyone to make safe and healthy journeys
Remember 🧐
Road crash victims and share their stories
