Get to know the person behind the position as we meet members of the Herts Ability family! Let’s kick-start the working week with four fantastic facts… One for each member!
1️⃣ FACT! Our CEO Sean Lawrence qualified as an approved driving instructor at the age of 22 – at the time the youngest in the country! Before being named CEO in 2020, Sean was Herts Ability’s Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for day-to-day running of all the charity’s operations.
2️⃣ Did you know? Our Occupational Therapist Sarah Wright is also a qualified Aromatherapist, has an interest in bushcraft, wild camping, walking and Tai Chi! She is also a mum of two! 👨👩👧👦
3️⃣ FACT! Our Driving Assessor, Simon Edwards, has been a key member of the Herts Ability team for six years and counting. Oh, and he also used to live in Japan 🇯🇵, where he was teaching English as a foreign language for several years!
4️⃣ Did you know? Herts Ability Occupational Therapist Jane Baker started working for us in 2017. “Initially I had a steep learning curve, identifying what a driver requires – physically and cognitively – to drive safely. I soon settled into a familiar pattern of assessments for mornings and afternoons and love my role!”
