One of the most important aspects of driving is having the correct seating position, not just for posture and comfort but also to enable the driver to reach all the controls. For many people who are short in stature, this can be extremely challenging!

Good news, it’s not impossible!

During a driving assessment, the Herts Ability Occupational Therapists and Specialist Approved Driving Instructor will help identify the best seating position for you and if required, the most appropriate adaptation.

If you are just getting started in your driving career, you’ll need driving lessons.

The Herts Ability Driving School is on hand to support you!

Their expert driving instructors will help you every step of the way. When you’re ready for the driving test, we’ll help you communicate with the DVSA and DVLA.

Herts Ability will even support your acquisition of an adapted car.

Here’s what our recent client Claire had to say about Herts Ability after recently passing the DVSA driving test, on the first attempt:

“Being able to start lessons with Herts Ability was a dream come true for me!

They were all really professional, had good knowledge and the whole team was very caring.

My Instructor, James, paced the lessons just right, pushing when I needed a push and stepping back when I was struggling to cope.

I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor!”

Herts Ability can help knock those barriers down.  All you need to do is get in touch!
